Dr. Grimmelmann started his career as a researcher at Bell Labs and since, has held executive positions in both large tech companies and startups. He is currently President Emeritus of the NY Tech Alliance, a non-profit that produces the NY Tech Meetup and teaches computer science at The City College of New York where he specializes in Machine Learning.
Sean Grygiel is a partner with the law firm of Mintz Levin PC. For the past 17 years he has helped entrepreneurs bring new technologies and products to market. He works closely with his corporate and venture colleagues to align IP and technology portfolios with clients’ business plans, product development, and competitive landscapes to support company valuation at critical milestones. Sean is a former officer in the U.S. Coast Guard, serving with the National Maritime Center and the Marine Safety Center, as well as various operational units.
Fernando is an Executive Director at Seabury Maritime, a transportation centric investment bank, where he leads the maritime digitization and maritime technology initiatives. Previously he held C-level positions at Lloyds Register, ABS, and successfully founded (and exited) two mar-tech companies.

Josh is the COO of a vessel operating company and a multimodal logistics company specializing in point to point international freight transport. His professional experience includes time as an aide in the US House of Representatives, Public Policy, Marine Asset Investments, Agribusiness and freight trading.
Brian Wilson is the CEO of Duro UAS. Duro UAS (Unmanned Autonomous Systems) develops autonomous underwater vehicles, sensors and components to collect data for the growing Ocean Economy, including maritime inspection and environmental research.
Joseph is a Senior Lecturer and the Curriculum Leader for the ABET accredited Facilities Engineering Program at SUNY Maritime College. With 30+ years of maritime industry hands-on to C-Suite experience Joe, previously held the position of VP of Ocean Transportation Services at Horizon Lines LLC and is currently a participating committee member at ABS – American Bureau of Shipping and Board Member at SMPENY.
